Supported Living UK was created to provide good quality care, assistance and support for those with learning disabilities and behavioural difficulties.

The Supported Living UK Team is led by Christine Chase as Care Services Director and Chris Windust as Managing Director. Together they have extensive knowledge of the care and support required by individuals with learning disabilities to live an independent life and also the management skills required to ensure that the company is run and managed in a professional and ethical manner.

Christine Chase - Care Services Director

Christine is responsible for assessing and managing the needs of individuals to ensure that quality support will be provided to every individual who lives within our care. She will be directly involved, on a day to day basis, with all aspects of care and support for our clients.

She is a Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities and has worked within an assessment and treatment unit in Hampshire since 2003 and has many years experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and other additional needs, such as autistic spectrum disorders, sensory needs and dual diagnosis.

Christine has worked in assessing many service users and developing care plans which detail how to work with each individual to successfully provide support and manage any challenging behaviour they may be presented with. From this Christine has been involved in developing care needs packages, which specify what an individual needs to live successfully within the community. Christine has worked in partnership with Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) to find suitable placements for service users.

Christine has vast knowledge of working with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and has successfully worked with service users to assist them to move into the community and live fulfilled lives.

Chris Windust - Managing Director

Chris Windust is Managing Director of Supported Living UK and responsible for the overall management and planning of the company.

Working Alongside Us

We will liaise directly with the Learning Disability Community Team. The team is made up of community nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and a range of therapists including speech and occupational.

Supported Living UK will also work in close partnership with the Purchasing Authorities and the Independent Advocate Service and we will employ and work alongside a number of specialist therapists and professionals, such as Makaton tutors and BILD accredited physical intervention trainers, as and when required.
